Biografia

Alfred Joseph Hitchcock Sir, KBE (Londres, 13 de agosto de 1899 — Los Angeles, 29 de abril de 1980), foi um diretor e produtor britânico. Considerado o maior e um dos mais influentes cineastas da história do cinema e conhecido como "o Mestre do Suspense", ele dirigiu 53 longas-metragens ao longo de seis décadas de carreira. Tornou-se também famoso por conta de diversas entrevistas, das frequentes aparições em seus filmes (cameo) e da apresentação do programa Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955-1965). Deu-se, então, uma série de filmes de sucesso, sobretudo, Rebecca (1940), Foreign correspondent (1940), Shadow of a Doubt (1943), e The Paradine Case (1947); Rebecca foi indicado em onze categorias do Oscar e venceu o prêmio de Melhor Filme.
